Resolution amending the Missoula Water Division rate schedule to provide for tapping fees on existing water mains

Set a public hearing on February 26, 2018 on a resolution amending the Missoula Water Division Rate Schedule and adopt a schedule of tapping fees for taps on existing water mains for the recovery of labor, equipment, and material costs necessary to complete new taps on existing mains.

Resolution amending the fiscal year 2018 budget to increase appropriations to add an Administrative Assistant II position for Compost

Recommended motion

Set a Public Hearing on February 26, 2018 on a resolution amending the annual appropriations for the City of Missoula, Montana as set forth in the fiscal year 2018 budget and capital improvement program that increases the total city budgeted expenditures by $49,251 and appropriate the Wastewater/Compost Fund expenditures in the amount of $49,251 in order to add an Administrative Assistant II position.

Purchase of two 2018 Nissan Rogues

Approve the purchase of two (2) 2018 Nissan Rogues for the Public Works department from Billion Auto Group of Bozeman, Montana in the amount of $21,279.00 each for a total of $42,558.00 for all both vehicles. This purchase is a cooperative purchasing agreement with the State of Montana and is line item P5.1 on the State bid tab.

 

7.

Purchase of eight Dodge Chargers for the Police Department

Approve the purchase of eight (8) Dodge Chargers for the Police Department, including the addition of corner lights, push bumpers, center consoles and large integrated display packages for a large-pursuit rated four door sedan, from Yellowstone County Motors of Livingston, Montana in the amount of $31,832.00 each for a total cost of $254,656.00 for all eight.  This is a cooperative purchase with the State of Montana, line item P1.1 on the State bid tab.

Purchase of one Police Special Services Vehicle Pickup

Approve the purchase of one (1) 2017 Dodge Ram SSV 1500 crew cab 4-wheel drive pickup for the Police Department from Billion Dodge of Bozeman Montana for in the amount of $29,161.00.  Billion Dodge of Bozeman Montana was the lowest responsive bidder. This is a cooperative purchase with the State of Montana and is line item P2.4 on the state emergency vehicle bid tab.

Purchase of one Special Services Vehicle pickup

Approve the purchase of one (1) 2017 Dodge Ram SSV 1500 crew cab 4-wheel drive pickup for the Police Department from Billion Dodge of Bozeman Montana in the amount of $26,094.00.  Billion Dodge of Bozeman Montana was the lowest responsive bidder. This is a cooperative purchase with the State of Montana and is line item P2.4 on the state emergency vehicle bid tab.

 

10.

Purchase of one Asphalt Roller for the Streets Department

Approve the purchase of one (1) 2018 Caterpillar CB64B asphalt compactor for the Streets Department from Western States Equipment of Missoula, MT in the amount of $148,476.00.  This is a cooperative purchase through the National Joint Powers Association.

Purchase of Four F250 Pickups for the Water Utility

Approve the purchase of four (4) 2018 Ford F250 super cab 4-wheel drive pickups for Missoula Water from MD Luce Inc. of Townsend, Montana in the amount of $29,366.34 each for a total amount of $117,465.36 for all four (4) units; and approve the purchase and installation of four (4) utility boxes from Kois Equipment Company of Great Falls, Montana in the amount of $8,390.00 each for a total amount of $33,560.00 for all four.

Petition to vacate 20’ alley right-of-way, Missoula Public Library, Block 6, McWhirk Addition

Adopt a resolution of intention to close and vacate public right-of-way being the 20’ wide alley located in Block 6 of McWhirk Addition, subject to four (4) conditions of approval, set a public hearing on March 5, 2018, and return the item to the Public Work committee on February 21, 2018.

Ordinance Amending the Missoula Municipal Code Regarding Water Service to Accessory Dwelling Units
